The Australian Construction Industry Forum (ACIF) has released its Construction Market report saying that it expects the dollar value of construction work to increase by 2.8%, generating over $256 billion of opportunities in 2022/23. Leading the way will be residential and engineering construction, creating an expected additional 35,000 jobs during 2022. WA Government Invests $332 Million into Geraldton Port

Through the 2022-23 State Budget, the Western Australian Government is investing $332 million towards Mid West Ports Authority’s Port Maximisation Project that will enable the Geraldton Port to meet increasing demands for services. ABS unemployment figures for September reveal WA’s lowest jobless rate since 2013

The West Australian jobs market is booming despite the ongoing pandemic, with the unemployment rate dropping to 4.1 per cent — a level not seen for eight years. Bucking the national trend, the unemployment rate in WA dropped by 0.4 per cent in September to levels not since seen October 2013, according to the latest Australian Bureau of Statistics figures.
