Major Perth Zoo upgrade underway as part of a $16.5 million construction program supporting approximately 380 jobs.

The Café and Function centre are the first projects to be delivered under the McGowan Government’s Perth Zoo Master Plan 2040 and are planned to be completed by mid-2023. The café will create a new eating and alfresco area adjacent to the zoo’s main lawn, with the new function centre set to provide a much-improved space for events, functions, seminars and weddings. Both projects are being built by local company Crothers Construction, supporting about 380 jobs during construction and sourcing materials from local suppliers. Multibillion dollar Wind Farm planned for WA’s Mid West, estimated to create 14,500 jobs during construction.

The proposed Midwest Offshore Wind Farm will have up to 200 turbines and six substations within Commonwealth waters and will be constructed and operated off the coast of Kalbarri, 500km north of Perth. The project will be developed in phases. It is currently planned that construction would span 36 months and is targeted to start in 2028. The total capital expenditure is proposed to reach $8 billion USD which equates to more than $11.5 billion AUD. Premier Mark McGowan reveals designs for $30 million hotel on Albany’s Middleton Beach, expecting to create 180 new jobs.

Official designs have been unveiled for a $30 million hotel planned for Middleton Beach, with concept images showing a cascading eight-storey building with sweeping views of Albany’s best known beach. The proposed hotel — to be delivered by Pacifica Ausglobal — would have 66 suites across eight storeys, with a combination of one, two and three-bedroom suites. The ground floor overlooking the ocean would feature food and beverage facilities designed for locals, visitors and guests. Generated as of 14th July 2022, there are some keys factors for Western Australians to celebrate: $240.3 billion of goods were exported in the year to May 2022. $400 million project to redevelop former Perth Girls School is approved by Development WA

The Major East Perth project is to deliver 742 new apartments, including 242 build-to-sell apartments constructed across two 25-storey towers.  The remaining 500 apartments will be the largest build-to-rent development in the State, delivered in a 15 to 37-storey development. It will include a significant number of affordable apartments, as well as 100 social housing apartments, and a range of Special Disability Accommodation apartments. Perth set to get the largest Surf Park in the Southern Hemisphere.

The largest surf park in the southern hemisphere with 150-metre-long waves will be built in Perth. There will be a choice in wave size and intensity from small beginner surf to hollow, barreling two-metre advanced waves, with “beast mode” the most challenging and dangerous level.
