Major infrastructure projects developing Northern Suburbs into a hub of activity

The first of several major infrastructure projects that will help create Perth’s second CBD – the Stirling City Centre – is now complete. The Mitchell Freeway’s new northbound lane between Cedric and Hutton Streets reached official completion today, enabling unimpeded access into the Stirling commercial hub. The $16.5 million project created 50 jobs and will save drivers two minutes off their previous peak period journey – cutting travel time between Cedric to Hutton from eight minutes to six. New $400 million WA Museum Boola Bardip officially opens

WA Museum Boola Bardip, officially opened on Saturday 21st November 2020 in the heart of Perth’s Cultural Centre. The new $400 million museum will introduce Western Australians to incredible exhibitions, experiences and stories on display in the spectacular new building. Boola Bardip means “many stories” in Whadjuk Noongar language. Ocean Reef Marina full steam ahead with selection of local contractor

The McGowan Government has announced two Western Australian companies – WA Limestone and Italia Stone Group as the preferred contractors to work on the two-kilometre-long breakwaters (the longest in WA) required for the marina. Both companies, are expected to employ 56 local workers to construct the $60 million breakwaters using up to 650,000 tonnes of limestone, sourced from Development WA’s limestone quarry in Neerabup, and about 300,000 tonnes of granite. WA homebuyers to receive $20,000 grants for new builds as Government steps in to help industry

June 16, 2020

The Western Australian Government has announced a $125 million stimulus package for the state’s home building sector, which provides cash grants to prospective homebuyers. The “Building Bonus” scheme allows WA owner-occupiers and investors, to avail of a $20,000 grant for building new houses. Those who purchase property in a single-storey development which is already under construction, may also apply for the grant.
