The Client / Company
Our clients are established WA electrical/engineering contractors who are renowned for high-quality standards, efficient delivery of projects and being a successful innovative team. Their businesses are gaining positive momentum with a strong stream of exciting work in the pipeline, leading to expansion of their Perth WA estimating departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with high-end clients, suppliers, stakeholders and sub-contractors on the preparation, submission, follow up and negotiation of tenders and quotations.
- Participate in both team and management team meetings to review specifications, risk and opportunities/alternative strategies.
- Build positive relationships ensuring that you are a preferred supplier for tender invitations/other opportunities.
- Follow through on all assigned tender submissions and quotations, maintain records on outcomes.
- Maintain a network of reliable suppliers and identify equipment suitable for harsh Western Australian environments, including construction equipment, instrumentation, analytical equipment, and field devices.
Qualifications
- Current WA Driver’s License
- WA Electrical License (desired)
- Tertiary qualifications in quantity surveying, engineering, construction management or similar.
Skills / Experience
- Good IT literacy and ability to use/pick up estimation and planning software such as SIMPRO, ESPRO etc.
- Demonstrable and successful electrical estimating experience working with high-end industrial, construction or renewable clients.
- strong understanding of contract clauses, Australian Standard contracts, Government contracts and their relation to Industrial, Commercial or Renewable Electrical Systems.
- successful experience in completing quality Construction or Design/Construction estimates and proposals for electrical systems, understanding the equipment, the varying site requirements, logistics, environments, safety, etc;
- Sound understanding of the electrical contracting or electrical engineering market.
