$3.8 billion Burswood Point redevelopment project to generate over 25,700 local jobs over the coming years!

Construction has started for 4,500 homes as part of the Burswood Point redevelopment, supported by the Cook Government to boost housing supply in Western Australia.

The initial stage includes 67 homes and 203 apartments, with future phases adding more housing, public spaces, hotels, and retail areas.

The project has received $2 million from the Cook Labor Government’s $80 million Infrastructure Development Fund to support critical infrastructure, such as water and electricity connections. The fund has already helped launch 16 projects, with 1,321 apartments under construction and more in the pipeline.

Future residents will benefit from expanded ferry services on the Swan River, with potential stops at Burswood Park, Optus Stadium, and Claisebrook Cove.

Over $200 million in site works, including access roads, waterworks, and a new pedestrian bridge to Stadium Station, have already been completed.

Premier Roger Cook highlighted that this redevelopment will inject over $10 billion into the state economy and create 25,700 local jobs.
